Re: CBS News coverage of CTE last night

This time it happened. The CBS Evening News story on CTE featuring Air Products and John McGlade, our SkillsUSA CEO Champion of the Year, aired last evening.

The three-minute segment does a great job of highlighting the role of CTE in preparing a skilled workforce. Among the points made: CTE leads to well-paid careers; it's needed by employers; it involves academic rigor and results in postsecondary credentials. And, there are references to cutbacks in federal funding.

Thanks go to John McGlade, and Air Products as well as to the National Association of State Directors of Career Technical Education consortium and the Association of Career and Technical Education for helping CTE demonstrate its value to America.
